Mixed Experience: Exceptional Staff but Serious Safety Concerns We recently completed a 7-day stay at The Sindbad. While some of the staff members were absolute standouts, we experienced some highly concerning safety lapses that the resort needs to address immediately. The Positives: Reception Team: When I was stung by a weever fish at the beach, the front desk host was incredibly efficient and empathetic, getting a doctor to assist me within 20 minutes of my wife running for help. Housekeeping: A huge shoutout to Jalila! She kept our room pristine, was always so friendly, and we absolutely loved the beautiful flower petal decorations she left for us daily. The Negatives & Safety Hazards: No Beach Warning Signs: The doctor informed me that weever fish are very common in the area. I am very disappointed that the resort has no warning signs posted. My foot remained swollen and in severe pain for 5 days. Had this fish stung my wife or my 20-month-old toddler, it would have been devastating. Pool Shower Hazards: The beach-facing showers in the pool area have no guard rails. With nothing to hold onto, my 20-month-old son unfortunately slipped and fell flat on his face, causing his nose and lip to bleed. Lack of First Aid Support: Although after my son's accident he screamed and cried loudly, the lifeguard that was approximately 3 meters away did not acknowledge or seem to be aware of our situation, so I felt unsupported when I needed some first aid care. Ultimately, I ended up taking care of the matter with my wife. The resort has great potential and wonderful individual staff members, but the lack of basic safety measures and the lack of awareness from the pool staff are highly concerning for a family-friendly destination.

The buffet style type dining stopped for dinner for 6 nights and was classed as A La carte but was definitely Table de hote…. A choice of three mains and three deserts not a wide range of choice

While the holiday itself was a much-needed break, the accommodation experience didn’t quite meet expectations. There was a significant amount of building work going on around the hotel, which at times made it difficult to fully relax and switch off. In addition, there was little to no entertainment available during our stay. This left the evenings feeling quite flat and limited the overall holiday atmosphere we were hoping for. With better communication beforehand about the ongoing building works, and a more consistent entertainment offering, the experience would have been much more enjoyable.

The accommodation was lovely, very clean, great facilities and lovely staff.
