The Playa Olid is a nice hotel and is situated about 10 min walk from the beach areas, bars and resturants. It is on a hill and this was ststed in the advert for the holiday so no issues there. The Hotel staff did seem a little over worked but always helped when they could. The pool area was alwayes cleaned in the morning and sun loungers pressure washed. We werent able to keep the room as our departure was late at night, which did leave us with no option to stay away from the pool on the last day. but given we had spent a lot of time at siam park we found other things to keep us busy. The food is adequate for 3 star hotel, Dont expect A'la Cart dining, Food is cooked fresh and plenty of choices, Fresh fruit everyday, teas and coffees, juice, beer and wine always available. Not Major brands but nice all the same. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no lift so was a little tiring after long days out. Rooms were spacious and clean, Our balcony didnt get the sun which was good as this would have heated the room up, but the Aircon was working and was nice at night to cool off. Overall a nice hotel, could be doing with a gym or a free bus service to certain areas of the island.
