We experienced a couple of issues during our stay at the Hotel Astoria in Stresa, Lake Maggiore\\. The accommodation was quite dated, although very clean, and it felt almost like stepping back into the 1980s\\. However, the hotel’s position was excellent—close to the town, near the ferry port, and overlooking the lake\\. The restaurant staff, in particular, were excellent and provided very good service throughout our stay, although the management was less impressive and left a lot to be desired\\. On a positive note, our TUI representative, Zsuzsanna Somhegyi, was excellent and went above and beyond to help us, for which we are extremely grateful\\. She was always approachable, helpful, and professional, and did everything she could to resolve our concerns and make our holiday as enjoyable as possible\\. Zsuzsanna is truly a great asset to TUI, and we feel she deserves recognition for the outstanding support and service she provided\\.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Well maintained and very clean. Ideal position in the resort to access all amenities.

Friendly, profesional and helpful staff. Fantastic views from a good sized balcony. Good 4 star accomodation and a very relaxing atmosphere. Great proximatey to all the resort amenities, ferrys, buses and trains, a great two weeks, thank you!

Reception staff very poor at the Astoria Stresa we stayed at the Hotel Soleon lake Garda last year far superior to the Astoria in food and hospitality
