    Definitely not a 5* hotel, very tired/tatty around the pools. Entertainment was absolutely rubbish. Wasn't told about the adults only pool that looked lovely but hardly used. Splash park pool water was very grubby which was a shame as it was the only pool that was t salt water! The staff there were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for you!

    I would recommend it however, with a few tips and pointers for improvement. 1) I do not recommended an 'inland view'swim up room at this hotel. We were facing a main road, supermarket, sports bar and this was often loud into the night. The pool only got sunlight in the afternoon which meant it was FREEZING as they aren't heated (understandable in warm countries when the water gets the sun). Upon being offered to change this by the hotel staff, we were offered a room that shared what can only be described as a deep plunge pool with one other room. We swiftly declined. Neither room was at all like the 'inland'pictures you advertise. 2) there are a few cosmetic aspects that could do with some attention in a 5 star resort - concrete/grout slather across the bridges on the pool rather than a proper fix, left over floats strewn around the swim up pool that looked like they'd been there weeks, bubbles of paint on the walls in the room and some tired looking sun loungers - for a 5 star, youd also expect cushioned ones but I knew this from the pictures. 3) there is a power cut/ power surge EVERY NIGHT at this hotel. You hear a loud BANG where the electricity mast/pole sparks and bangs before everything goes pitch black. This happened 3 times while we dined in the Italian a la carte which caused severe kitchen delays - not the staffs fault! This also re-programmes your air con to turn on again if it happens in the middle of the night which caused us to feel poorly waking up with it on. 4) I can see why families were very disgruntled at this hotel and it caused animosity as they walked past the adult only pools loudly stating they weren't welcome in the nice pools - because I can see why they felt their offer was short. I do think consistency in the lifeguards manning the adult pools to prevent some children slipping through the net due to the lifeguard hesitance to approach would be beneficial as those seeing others getting away with it intensified the angst. HOWEVER, the great points: Staff were incredible - worked hard and greeted everybody so well.... especially the staff serving drinks around the pool. The presence of senior staff doing walk around was also welcome. Adults only pool variety - fabulous. I know this disgruntled families too but was a positive on my holiday as an adult only group. Adult only dining options were great. Bar staff in the top floor bar were great and remembered guests and orders. A la carte options were ample and fantastic as well as easy to book! Hotel itself had so much to offer.

    Lovely hotel and the room was cleaned daily. Decor and room in general was too a very good standard. My only comment would be there were not enough sunbeds at the pools or beach and with young children it made it hard to enjoy our time when I was sat on a chair at the bar waiting for a bed to become free. People would reserve beds and not use them.
