I went on holiday out of season to have a relaxing holiday this was not the case the total was overrun with Dominicans from Friday till Monday couldn’t get food couldn’t relax in the pool boom boxes blaring out couldn’t watch the entertainment no chairs so people just stood in front of you the whole time, I think TUI should have made us aware of this before we book we never would have gone , everyone one the coach felt the same it was terrible

The hotel was lovely; really beautiful grounds & staff were very welcoming. The resort is huge so there are regular shuttle trains which take you to/from the lobby to the beach and all of the accommodation blocks in between. The beach was beautiful, only a small amount of sargassum but a tractor came along regularly to clear it. Our room wasn’t very clean on arrival but the maids did a good job for the rest of our stay. We had to ask for our mini bar to be restocked multiple times which should have been replenished daily. We got an upgraded room on arrival to the resort as we came out for our wedding which was a nice treat & they upgraded our access passes so we had access to the entire resort instead of 2 sister hotels. We weren’t aware until we had our TUI rep meeting that, in the low season the hotel allows locals to buy passes from Friday-Sunday so the resort gets insanely busy & this extends to food areas too. We were able to book our à la carte reservations for majority of those nights to avoid the buffet but a couple of nights we did go to the buffet and it was carnage. The à la carte restaurants that we ate at were Nomad and Flame; both really nice & great service. We did the private Saona Island trip through TUI and that was brilliant, would highly recommend.
