    The hotel was good not a 5 star in my opinion by was clean. The ground were over grown as not as indicated on the picture or the other Bahia Principe resorts on site. Bit over all very nice and relaxed atmosphere

    The hotel itself is good. The food and drinks are mostly fine as well. The specialty restaurants are very good. Our room could definitely do with some TLC as it looked a bit worn (particularly the bathroom needs updating). I thought it was outrageous to offer an upgrade to a slightly nicer (renovated) room for $30 per person per day (and $15 per child/day) which would have amounted to $1,260 for our stay just for the upgrade! A lot of the buffet and bar staff needs to be a lot more service orientated. We were sometimes ignored or it seemed as if it was a nuisance to serve us (particularly if there was no tip included) and drink orders at the buffet took a long time to be delivered. The reception service was slow and tedious for check in but improved and was fine later on in our stay. It was such a difference compared to the TUI staff on the plane which was fantastic im comparison. They were professional, friendly, courteous und tried to make the flight as enjoyable as possible. The seaweed at the beach is very annoying. I saw the efforts made to remove the seaweed, however there was not a single day in our 14 day stay with a beach or sea bathing free of seaweed. This alone will mean I will not return to this hotel which is a shame as the rest is fine.

    Value for money Some of the ala carte restaurants poor food quality and choice - broken air conditioning Buffet quality good - however lack of cleanliness - very few clean plates Often queues - lack of plates, drinks service at tables etc
