    The rooms are a little tired and could do with a repaint to freshen them up. The food for breakfast was wide ranging, but the same every day. The dining experiences for evenings were not good. Several drinks and menu items had run out (for the duration, not just that night) and the food on offer wasn’t the best taste wise. It was also expensive compared to local restaurants. The rep advised us against eating out due to hygiene issues, but after our 4th poor dinner we followed another guest’s recommendation for the restaurants across the rail track and had excellent food at much reduced prices. It is also worth letting people know there is a train track right behind the hotel so you can hear trains throughout the day and night. There’s no level crossing or anything so horns are used, sometimes early in the morning.
