I would recommend for families it was set up very well for them. Not so much for just adult travellers, should be clearer that this is a more family oriented hotel. The bungalows were good, maybe a little tired, outside space with them was good with seating and loungers. No issues getting sunbeds by pool at all. On second day of holiday both restaurant and poolside bar areas were completely trashed with no one cleaning up this seemed to have been resolved by the following day, the hotel areas were cleaner and more staff around. Could have done with more than one bar open during the day, queue could be long.

Hotel could do with a good overhaul. Nice room to be fair pool areas could do with a clean round about them as leafs and stones lying round about the sunbeds apart from that the daughter loved the pool and kids pool please keep and eye on your kids as a little boy drowned there the day before we got there we were told from other parents and told that they're was no lifeguards to be seen. Barman was good at the pool bar but they kept rotating them and when they did there was a line as they couldn't keep up anytime he was on you were a couple off mins tops. The food wasn't the greatest unless you like a lot of fish stuff ive seen alot worse but it isn't the best, the staff in the morning are on a go slow hard to find a clean table in the morning in the evening their pretty good straight over asking your drink order & plates taken as soon as your finished near enough some times struggled tofind a clean plate just check them before you take them. Kids disco was good daughter loved it night time wasn't bad either pretty good finished at 10 so was good time for getting the daughter to bed. Book your excursion before you get there as it cheaper as the reps tried to add about 15-20 euros each on per person and told us there was only 1 day available checked on the TUI app to seek and it was any day from the day we asked and 15-20 euro cheaper ended up booking through someone else and saved myself 60-70euro all in not booking through TUI as the Rep annoyed me like why lie. Apart from the niggles it was a nice hotel nice time with the family and daughters first time abroad so all went good

There was a lot we genuinely loved about the Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort. Our room was excellent, the hotel and grounds were very well maintained, the food was consistently very good and the majority of staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Under normal circumstances, this would have been a very positive review. Unfortunately, our first day was overshadowed by a tragic incident in which a young child drowned in the pool area. We were there with our own children aged 2 and 4 and witnessing the incident and its aftermath had a significant emotional impact on us for the remainder of the holiday. I do not want to speculate about the exact circumstances or attribute responsibility without knowing all the facts, but I can comment on what we personally experienced. We were extremely concerned by the apparent level of lifeguard coverage across such a large family pool area and by the response to the emergency itself. Having since seen other guests raise similar concerns around lifeguard provision, I do not think this should simply be dismissed as an isolated perception. That is what makes the review difficult. The hotel itself has so much going for it and we still managed to make some lovely family memories, but pool safety at a family resort has to be fundamental. I would strongly urge Elba to review lifeguard numbers, coverage, visibility, emergency response procedures and how pool safety is communicated to families. We genuinely enjoyed many aspects of our stay, but until I was confident those concerns had been addressed, I would not feel comfortable recommending the hotel to another family with young children.

Enough sun beds, it was nice that we had the possibility to get a free bus to the beach, the drinks were ok and the food quality was acceptable for a allinclusive!
