I am writing to log a formal complaint and a claim for financial compensation regarding a severe lack of facility management during our recent holiday. As a loyal customer who has booked with TUI plenty of times every single year, I am deeply disappointed. I have never encountered this level of chaos, overcrowding, and poor management on any of my previous holidays with you.The hotel was completely overcapacity and entirely unfit to accommodate the volume of guests booked into it. This extreme overcrowding totally ruined our daytime experience, turning what should have been a relaxing holiday into a highly stressful and completely unacceptable environment.The main pool was far too small to safely accommodate the number of guests. On top of that, the hotel completely failed to manage the outdoor terrace. Doors were kept locked until 8.00 AM, which forced an intimidating, chaotic bottleneck of guests to queue outside from 5.00 AM onwards just to race for a lounger. Because TUI and the hotel failed to stop this behaviour or implement a civilised booking policy, the pool area was rendered entirely unusable for us.We refused to participate in a stressful daily 3-hour queue and the 8.00 AM scramble just to access amenities we had already paid for, so we were forced off the property every single day. We had no choice but to pay the standard local municipality rate of 22.50 euros per day for public beach sunbeds simply to have a safe, peaceful place to sit, totaling a direct out-of-pocket expense of 157.50 euros for our 7-night stay.To make matters worse, the overcrowding extended directly to the daily pool bar area. Trying to get a drink or sit down during the day was a major challenge. There were consistently no seats available, forcing us to stand around in packed, chaotic crowds just to use a basic facility that was supposed to be a key feature of our holiday package.Under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations, TUI is legally liable for both our direct financial losses and the significant loss of value, distress, and loss of holiday enjoyment caused by this total lack of crowd control and facility management.I expect a formal response within 14 days confirming the full reimbursement of our 157.50 euros beach expenses, alongside a substantial compensation offer that reflects my long-standing loyalty to your company. Failure to resolve this satisfactorily will result in an immediate escalation to ABTA for independent arbitration.
