Minareto is set in a beautiful location but I am not recommending it for the following reason All our previous TUI holidays have been outstanding and amazing value for money but this hotel gets you for so many extras when it comes to food We were very disappointed with the dinner arrangements- only one à la carte restaurant with the same menu for 7 nights particularly as I am a vegetarian The food was excellent and beautifully presented but having to order the same thing every night was terrible Also there is no shop in or near to hotel to even buy snacks or water Each bottle of water was €5 charged to your room A tiny jug of milk for tea €4 There is no snack bar , cafe for lunch or snacks, ice creams, smoothies etc ( the kind of things we were expecting that we had on our other TUI vacations Lunch menu was ridiculously expensive ( Caprese salad €26 !! ) Burger €28 !!) Breakfast was a beautiful buffet included but apart from that the dining experience was a complete let down

Twin room booked. Double provided not what we wanted! Room was small. Toiletries provided were tiny and not pleasant. The continuous bass sound from the adjacent pool was loud and intrusive causing headaches. The room and bathroom were very clean. Domesticas cleaned twice daily and replaced linen. No charging points for phone or ipad. The views were magnificent! The varied plant life and birds were superb!

Amazing 5* hotel - don’t think TUI booking gave it justice for the quality. Think should be clear that there is no evening entertainment and that it is several miles from other bars/restaurants. Easy to get transport into Ortigia but people without half-board found it expensive to go back and forth.

The hotel was in a stunning location and superbly maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food offering - POOR. Breakfast was okay. No central bistro offering where you could order light food. You had to WhatsApp and it was delivered to where you were with a charge of 2 euros pp a club sandwich was 29 Euros. Dinner menu was limited and very expensive. We struggled to find anything other than the 2 chicken dishes which didn’t change that my husband could have eaten. There was no one dinner we had -2 courses (very good) and 2 drinks + water came to 150 euros. There was no public transport nearby. The option of taking the boat across to Ortigia was a USP but expensive at 25 euros pp and limited times. A taxi into Siracusa and Ortigia was 30 euros each way. The location was lovely but as the guests were ‘captive’ either a more reasonably priced dinner and lunchtime options should have been available as we have enjoyed in Corfu, Portugal and the Maldives, Caribbean. As well there could have been a free or subsidised shuttle bus to and from Siracusa. The cost implication of meals unfortunately affected the overall scores.

“Mysigt hotell med underbar utsikt”

Det var ett vackert och mysigt hotell. Synd att vatten inte var lätt att få tag på till rimligt pris. Dryck var ganska överpriset generellt. Hade varit trevligt med en liten butik. Engelskan på personalen skulle kunna vara lite bättre men dom var trevliga och bra service.
