The accommodation could do with some updating, eg separate toilet and bathroom.

It was quite dirty around the pool area the tables and lounges still it's a food on the floor from the day before There were no poolside snacks no way you could just go and grab food you have to dry off and put clothing on and go and actually sit down in a restaurant to eat there was also a dog that's someone had taken on holiday which did nothing but bark all day around the pool area it was obviously way too hot for it and in the restaurant areas. I would definitely not write this hotel as a five-star

With respect, I have been extremely patient and have given both the hotel and TUI ample opportunity to address this issue during my holiday. I am not prepared to spend any more of my time away with my family repeatedly raising the same complaint, nor do I consider it reasonable to suggest that I should rally other guests to complain in order for the issue to be taken seriously. I would therefore like details of the formal complaints procedure, so that I can pursue this properly once I return home. The situation with the gym is unacceptable. I have twice had to get up at 5.30am to complete my 10km training runs outside before sunrise, because by the time it is light the temperature makes running outdoors impractical. As a woman running alone in an unfamiliar area in the pitch dark, I have felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. This is not something I should have had to do when I specifically booked a hotel advertised as having gym facilities. To repeatedly be told that the gym air conditioning “works” completely misses the point. Whether the system is technically operational is irrelevant if the actual temperature, humidity and lack of adequate airflow make the environment unsuitable for sustained exercise. Exercising in excessive heat places additional physiological strain on the body. It increases sweating and fluid loss, raises the risk of dehydration, dizziness, nausea and heat exhaustion, and increases cardiovascular strain because the body has to work harder to dissipate heat. Performance and concentration can also deteriorate. These concerns become increasingly relevant during prolonged cardiovascular exercise such as a 10km treadmill run. This is therefore not simply a matter of the gym feeling a little warm or being personally uncomfortable. The environmental conditions make sustained exercise extremely uncomfortable and raise legitimate concerns about heat stress and dehydration. I would genuinely encourage a member of staff to attempt a 10km treadmill run in that room before concluding that the conditions are acceptable. Even walking on the treadmill is unbearably hot. I have now raised this issue four times with reception, spoken to Guest Experience, raised it directly with TUI, seen similar complaints on TripAdvisor, and spoken personally to multiple guests experiencing the same problem. The issue is clearly neither isolated nor unknown. What is particularly frustrating is that there are obvious interim measures that could have been taken. Industrial fans are being used elsewhere in the hotel, including the Market Café. A fan could have been temporarily relocated to the gym, or additional fans provided, while a longer-term solution is considered. Instead, despite repeated feedback, no meaningful attempt appears to have been made to improve the situation. More broadly, the air conditioning throughout the resort appears inadequate. Our room and several communal areas have also been uncomfortably hot, which has had a significant negative impact on our overall experience of the holiday. I have made every reasonable effort to give the hotel and TUI the opportunity to resolve this while I am here. The feedback has been raised repeatedly and, from my perspective, effectively ignored. I will not spend any more of my family holiday pursuing it. Please therefore email me details of the formal complaints procedure and the appropriate contact details for escalating this matter after my return home. I would also ask that the complaints I have already made during my stay are formally recorded, so there is a clear record of the opportunities provided to resolve the issue while we were in resort. My email address is: ********** Kind regards, Karen Palmer
