    Primary issue. Reason for selecting hotel was the variety on offer for a 2 week stay. Only to find on arrival that the majority of al la carte restaurants where closed for the entire stay, the main pool was closed for the duration of stay. Only one buffet restaurant open for the entire stay with the same food on offer every evening. Secondly the alternative pool on offer had construction work ongoing for the first 7 days of the Holiday which was noisy and disrupted my relaxation. I was not informed of any of the above prior to my arrival at my destination and if I had been made aware of those points listed I would have selected a different hotel to stay in the Dominican Republic. In addition to the above the following issues occured with my room during my stay: Leak in room / wardrobe which made clothes wet on day 1. - fixed during stay. Door locking system failure which meant i could not leave the room unattended until maintenance arrived 2.5 hour wait due to time - fixed on day of reporting/ during stay. Water in Toilet running constantly. Fixed after 2 days of reporting/ during stay.

    The site is too large, personal preference. For a 5* rated hotel, I didn’t expect the entrance door to have a gap around the door. Lower shower didn’t work. Wi-Fi good. Staff are hit and miss, especially the restaurants and bars, poor attitude. . Asked for a list of cocktails, either did want to explain or didn’t understand. Would be an improvement to have a cocktail menu. Generally food is cold, they put food on heated areas that are not switched on. Trying to get a breakfast tea/coffee is anightmare. 5* hotel nd no tablecloths at evening meal. Overall had a good time.

    The room was lovely but as soon as we opened the door it smelt of damp and all of the clothes and after a dew days were also damp
