Rooms are tiny and need updating. In my 1st room the door didn’t shut which I found out after unpacking. Reception offered to move me to a different room, fix the door and then go back the next day, as it was 11pm I declined as see what would happen in the morning. They moved me to a different room permanently the next afternoon and said it was an upgrade. It wasn’t, well I hope it wasn’t as it was no different to the other room except there was a view of a path and not the previous brick wall. The balcony has 2 plastic chairs, no table, and as one of the other guests said to me “ we take it in turns to sit outside as it’s so small”. No bin in the room. Shower head height doesn’t cater for those who are 6ft tall, showered n my knees. The bed was very uncomfortable and I spent many nights waking up with backache as no give in the mattress. My room was cleaned 3 times in 2 weeks and the cleaners left all the rubbish, mops, dirty laundry, cups, plates, glasses, toilet rolls in the aisles….. you open your door and it’s a hazard. At least the kettle worked by you had to buy milk at the shop and extra water! In 40 years of travelling I have never known entertainment as bad as this. The acts in the evening were embarrassing and totally amateurish in delivery. The staff couldn’t care less, especially during the day, about looking after guests. The food was the only saviour of the holiday. Considering it’s an All Inclusive buffet style the choice was great, fresh and the dining staff exceptional, my only gripe here was the knives were blunt, if you tried to cut meat you just tore it sending the rest of the plate of food over the table! I felt intimidated twice over the holiday by the groups of guests who start drinking at 10am and seem to have the attitude “I’ve paid for it so I’m having it”. The most experienced lady behind the bar challenged when ordering but then was totally undermined when the next bar tender served them 2 more cocktails each, this happened every night. The TUI staff are great in Polegate and I will go back to book my next holiday but just not to Turkey. By the way, I’m a 58 year old male, travelling alone and have being travelling for 40 years.

Steep incline on path to from accommodation blocks. Long and steep stairs to pool/restaurant area. We were a couple in a 3 person rooms. It was a very small room and no place to put cases. Balcony/terrace barely big enough for the two chairs - no table. Rooms were a bit dated and tired, but clean and functional, and beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Toilet / shower room was a decent size and a good shower. Excellent selection of toiletries. Rooms well equipped and complimentary water daily was very welcome. Decent sized fridge. Extra for safe was disappointing and safe fixed to floor made access very difficult. Plenty of sunbeds so very little squabbling. Large and clean pools. Bar service was erratic - one opened then closed, next opened then closed early. Entertainment was mostly very poor but also several very good visiting shows on 3 nights - belly dancer, dance troupe and acrobats. Animation team was very small, usually 2 or 3, and lacked real interest/motivation - except for young girl that was left to do the mini-disco. Reception was very functional - a few minor issues were dealt with quickly. Great selection of food in restaurant and excellent service from staff. Decent wine but no beer in restaurant - had to queue at bar adjacent to restaurant. 60%+ Turkish guests - many quite rude - queue skipping, smoking everywhere, piling up massive amounts of food on their tables at start of service then leaving lots of it. Most disappointing was location - out in sticks miles from town centre and very poor transport links. Aircon worked well.

I consider myself well traveled but this was the best hotel I’ve stayed in

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were welcoming and always happy to help, the food was absolutely amazing, and the overall atmosphere made for a fantastic holiday.
