Unfortunately the World Cup footage took priority over evening entertainment for the kids. This is a really important part of the evening for children and allows parents to wind down so shouldn’t be overlooked.

We did stay here in November/December 2025 not long after it opened and we had an excellent stay so we booked to return. When we arrived at the hotel to check in we were given a free upgrade to an Emblem Swim Up Room which was unexpected but it was a lovely touch. The room was lovely and we liked the swim up pool to a point. As the pool was shared between all the rooms there wasn’t much privacy, so if you were in the pool outside your room or you were on your terrace, someone would purposely swim past and stop (we had this a few times and it did make us feel a bit uncomfortable especially when they stopped right outside our room and started to stare at us). I know this isn’t the fault of the hotel and it’s just the behaviour of other guests but it would be better if the pool was divided up between the swim up rooms and partitioned off for each room. The hotel grounds, rooms and pools are spotless and well maintained. The food is well cooked but a bit repetitive and the drinks are not consistent (some made my cocktails stronger than others or out the wrong things in them). Most of the staff were welcoming and friendly, apart from one of the bar staff who was rather rude when not just serving me and my partner but he was also rude to other guests as well which I thought was unnecessary as me and my partner are polite and respectful at all times and not rude in anyway when ordering drinks. This particular member of staff had the same the same attitude to guests when we stayed in November so I guess the hotel don’t seem to mind his behaviour. The other staff as I mentioned earlier were lovely but we did notice that quite a lot of the staff that were working at the hotel in November/December were no longer there which was a shame as we were looking forward to seeing some of them again. We also noticed that all the entertainment team had changed since our last stay. The team now are really nice, but there were only a few of them. They did try so hard to entertain guest ms but we found the entertainment a bit lacking, with not much going on just fir adults. The band that comes and plays in between the kids/family shows are ok but the entertainment got a bit repetitive throughout our two week stay. Regarding the staff we noticed that they have reduced the staffing levels dramatically since our last stay and it’s noticeable. The staff work incredibly hard but during the day seemed to be a lot busier than at night time and I think this is due to the hotel offering day passes for people to come in and use the facilities and be all inclusive for the day. I understand the hotel wants to make a profit but I think this puts added strain on their staff and makes their job even harder. I suppose if they up their staffing levels on busier periods it would ease the pressure on them. All in all me and my aether had a nice stay but it wasn’t as good as last time and the subtle changes to the staff, entertainment, food and drinks have mad me me rethink about booking this particular hotel again.

Various downfalls - breakfast doesn’t open until 8am, the pool doesn’t open until 10am, both timings are too late for anyone, especially for a family hotel. The food is okay, not 4* worthy. There are no labels on any of the food, which is very difficult with a baby with an egg allergy. One day my husband picked up what he thought was an onion ring but it was calamari, this could be dangerous for someone with a fish allergy. The food is almost always cold and very obviously warmed up from the night before. The amount of drinks that are not included in the all inclusive is unacceptable. We were never asked our room number for any meals, or self service drinks, we could have been self catering and just strolled in. Really not sure what you’re paying all inclusive for. Almost every alcoholic drink is payable, or only included if you are ‘emblem’. Your all inclusive ends on checkout, despite flying at 8pm, unacceptable especially with a baby. Too many chargeable extras - safe/towels etc, these should be included in all inclusive. We upgraded our room, the description says “Each suite has a kids' den with a games console, too.” But this is incorrect and false advertising, there is no such thing. We really wanted to love this hotel and return in the future but we will not be.
