Hotel was wonderful. Very modern and clean.

The location was brilliant and it was a lovely hotel with lovely pool area.

Pros: Journey to/from was effortless. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Room size much larger than expected. Conveniently located. Great amenities for adults. Love the bike rental options / water sports / access to the national park. Large pool, plently of sunbeds. Never struggled to find one. Pool towels provided every day. Staff all very polite and professional. Surrounding area felt safe. Cons: Very limited food choices for children. Young children are not catered for at all. I have been on many TUI family holidays and every dining option has a children’s area which serves plain food specifically for children. The restaurant at this hotel did not provide any considered plain options of potato, pasta, rice etc. All food came cooked with a sauce. Lots of stews etc which are not favourable with young children. All prepared salad came with a dressing. The entertainment was non existent. The children’s disco was 6 chairs on the grass and a dj in a walk through path area. Was very odd and never attended. No drinks included at all for evening meals. To not even be offered water at dinner was surprising! €3.80 for a small bottle of water per person €4.80 for a soft drink. There is a shop 5 min walk away where a bottle of 1litre water is €0.49 and fizzy drinks €1 which we purchased and brought to the hotel. Just would be more practical to include water as a minimum or have a drinks option for families as the weather is very hot and water is essential. Can’t fault the breakfast! That provided every food group available, tea and coffee / juices etc. We were also not told that rooms would not be ready for check in until after 3pm! After travelling from 3am - 12pm and then being told to wait 3 hours to access the room put a dampener on the start of the holiday. We just wanted to unpack and enjoy the facilities. Had we of been notified we could have booked an earlier check in. The room also had ants in the carpet. I did notify the front desk so that they could action before the next guests check in! Not necessarily the hotels fault as different country/rules etc but the option for smoking around the pool/hotel restaurants was horrible for non smokers / young children. Overall lovely hotel and destination. I just feel it was misrepresented as a ‘family’ hotel as they don’t meet the same standard experienced at all other TUI hotels / destinations. It prioritised adults / couples.

We were told there would be no rep support but Rovinj, Pula and Porec all have a TUI rep. Our rep in Rovinj is called Nina from Finland and she was fantastic.

TUI take extra money with false advertising by offering a superior room with balcony and poolside. DO NOT PAY ANY EXTRA as all rooms are the same standard/style, all have a balcony and none are by the poolside!! The only view you get is of the trees tops that are huge at both sides of the hotel. Reception staff were very clear that all rooms are the same if there are only two guests (a standard room), and there are no rooms by the poolside, tgis is due the expanse of manicured gardens all around the hotel. It is false advertising by TUI and down right cheeky. Especially given the TUI rep (who was very pleasant), is there daily and acknowledged the gardens and trees all around and that the ‘superior rooms’ means nothing. I would like a full refund of the extra money paid. Absolutely appalling by TUI.
