Nice local hotel with lovely views & friendly staff. Nice to have use of jaccuzi but didnt realise no pool (own fault for not checking properly when booking) but access to local private beach area with no extra charges for sun beds etc. nice bonus. Limited breakfast options compared to others I've been to but what was available acceptable. In house Restaurant food very good quality but again limited options. Was expecting buffet style so surprised to discover half board included restaurant meals, adds extra value to holiday price. Room was basic but acceptable with a couple of issues on arrival which were sorted quickly to an acceptable level. Overall good experience & would recommend. PS note no TUI reps on site.

Show moreThe hotel is in a great location (if you have good mobility) with lovely friendly staff. It's like a tardis inside, with corridors, steps and a lift. It was a bonus to discover air con in our room, which was the quietest we've ever known. A double shower in a big bathroom was another bonus. Comfier seats on the small terrace would've been nice, but we appreciate that there wasn't much space there. Most nights, we enjoyed spectacular sunsets over the sea. The food is generally fine, sometimes amazing. Don't make the mistake of thinking that seasonal fruit on the dinner menu will be to the same standard as everything else, as it's not. I received an orange and a wizened apple (which is the norm). The mind boggles as to why this is, with delicious watermelon, cherries and strawberries in plentiful supply in local shops. Italy is known for its ice cream- it would be great to see some on the menu. Hotel guests have the use of sunloungers on part of a local beach, we just had no idea which area it was in, as weren't told, didn't think to ask, and there are no signs on the beach to tell you. Easy enough to ask once down there and find out though. The town itself is nice to explore, and getting a train to Sorrento is easy peasy.
Show moreThe hotel was lovely, however we were given no choice but to go half board and the evening meal was shockingly bad. We endured it for the first night only and couldn’t face going back. The food choice was limited, bland or over salted. Main courses were particularly disappointing and there was only the choice of two desserts (I was told to give the third choice which was fruit, a wide birth by the waiter). The menu remained the same all week. I would like to stress that we are not food snobs and not difficult to please. We had no choice but to eat outside of the hotel for the remaining six nights, at great cost to ourselves.
Nice accommodation very conveniently located near the train station with amazing views. Rooms/communal spaces could do with updating.
