Hotel rooms need updating , not just painted but more facilities, long mirror , more sockets , tea and coffee products to go with the kettle, bottled water in fridges every day , we had to buy them every day, its all inclusive they should be provided in rooms, shower cubicles not fit for purpose full bathroom full of water after each shower. Lifts are tiny for amount of people at hotel

The biggest issue was the size of the rooms. The standard room provided for two adults and two young children was simply too small for a family of four, particularly with a baby who was crawling. There was very little space for him to move around, and it was difficult to comfortably prepare and clean bottles. We eventually paid for an upgrade, which made a significant difference. The additional space, sink and microwave made the room much more suitable for a family with young children. We don’t object to paying for an upgrade, but we do feel the original room should have been more appropriately sized for the number of guests booked into it. The hotel also isn’t particularly pushchair-friendly. There are areas where stairs are the only option, with no ramps, and some of the lifts are extremely small. The small lifts also made getting luggage to the room difficult, requiring multiple trips. This is something families with young children should be made more aware of when booking. The arcade was another area that needs attention. A number of the machines were either broken, missing parts or simply didn’t work, meaning money was spent on games that couldn’t properly be used. One machine was particularly concerning, as it was switched on despite being damaged and having exposed wires. This really needs addressing from both a maintenance and safety point of view. The sun-bed situation was also frustrating. We were told that sun beds could not be reserved, but this rule didn’t appear to be enforced. People were putting towels down and leaving them for long periods, meaning that when we came down after breakfast there were very few beds available. On one occasion, arriving around 8am, there were already only a handful left. We eventually felt that we had no choice but to put towels down ourselves, despite knowing that this wasn’t supposed to be allowed. We didn’t particularly want to do this, but if the rules aren’t enforced, guests understandably feel they have to follow everyone else just to get a sun bed. We think the hotel needs to either properly enforce the no-reserving rule or introduce a fairer system. The poolside bar could also be improved. Considering the number of rooms and pools, the bar felt quite small, and the fact that only beer and soft drinks were available directly by the pool meant having to walk to another bar for other drinks. This wasn’t a huge issue, but it would certainly make the pool experience better if a wider selection was available. There were also a couple of smaller maintenance issues. The handrail on the outside steps did not continue all the way to the top, meaning my mum had to lean over the steps to reach it. This could potentially be a safety concern and would be a relatively simple thing to rectify. Some of the decking at the bottom of the steps was also coming away and should be repaired.
