“Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa: Excellent Service and Food, But Not Quite the Beach Escape We Expected”

Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa is a lovely, relaxed resort that offers most of the facilities you'd expect for a comfortable 3 star Mauritius holiday. Amenities include a swimming pool with plenty of pool towels available throughout the day, a spa, a gym (although quite basic), a small shop, restaurant, kids' club, and a water sports hut. The resort itself is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They consistently go out of their way to help guests, which really enhances the experience. The food was also a highlight of our stay. While the selection isn't extensive, everything was delicious and well prepared. We particularly enjoyed the different themed dinners each evening, which kept things interesting throughout the week. Lobster is available for an additional charge. One thing prospective guests should be aware of is that there isn't really a true beach. The hotel has clearly made an effort to create a raised sandy area overlooking the water, but if you're hoping for long walks along the beach, you'll likely be disappointed. In fact, there isn't much opportunity for walking around the resort area in general. That said, public transport is very convenient, with a local bus stop directly outside the hotel. The nearest town is approximately 20 minutes away by bus and offers a market, shops, and a supermarket, making it easy to get out and explore independently. The location is also extremely windy, which impacted the water sports during our stay. Although activities are advertised as being available all day, in reality they were often limited to around lunchtime when conditions were calmer. The entertainment programme could also be improved. The team clearly tries hard, but events lack promotion and atmosphere, meaning many guests didn't really seem bothered about what was happening. Likewise, the all-inclusive drinks package is quite limited compared to what many travellers may expect from an all-inclusive resort. Overall, Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa offers a clean, friendly, and relaxing stay with excellent food and outstanding staff. The resort could benefit from some refurbishment and updating in places, and guests looking for a lively resort, extensive all-inclusive options, or a traditional beach holiday may find it lacking. However, for travellers seeking a quieter Mauritian getaway with great service and quality food, it remains a pleasant option. Rating: 3.5/5 – The wonderful staff and excellent food make the stay enjoyable, but the lack of a proper beach, limited drinks package, windy conditions, and somewhat dated facilities prevent it from being rated higher.

Jalsa Beach hotel var en fin hotell med super bra service och hjälpsam personal. All inklusive var kanske inte som vi förväntade oss men det funkade,maten var varierande,lagom utbud med smaker från olika kulturer, god mat. Resort var fin,rent,med mysigt trädgård och härligt pool, stranden var dock jätte litet,inte så mycket för att bada,men det var väldigt vackert omgivning där. Vi var nöjda med resan.
