    “Ej 5 stjärningt hotell”

    Hotellet motsvarar inte bilderna på Tui sida. Bokade suit och en vän hade bokat grand lit var exakt samma boende. Sängen i rummet fattades ribbor under. Stod städning varje dag, under all kritik. Dom var bara inne och bäddade sängen, vilket var samma sängkläder hela veckan. Man skulle få två flaskor vatten dagligen fick det 1 gång. Väldigt slitet i hela rummet, flugor i badrummet som kommer från avlopp. Stort plus till all personal på hotellet, helt underbara.

    Melia Tortuga doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. The staff were hit and miss, complaints or issues raised were not dealt with quickly. My young daughter was sick in her bed one night, the hotel were unable to help us get sheets/mattress changed in the night and despite it being raised again in the morning at reception and again with the TUI rep at lunch time, the issue wasn’t resolved until later in the afternoon (over 12 hours later). Requests to staff is met with “ok, no problem” but either doesn’t happen or something different happens. I think this is due to language barriers but they don’t tell you they don’t understand. I also raised issues around cleanliness/attention to detail - cigarette butts and broken glass littered the public pathways and despite raising a number of times as a hazard to my young children, it took me picking up the glass and handing it directly to the TUI rep for any kind of recognition (unfortunately the following day there was more broken glass so I gave up trying in the end). Towards the end of the holiday there was some recognition from the Guest Experience Manager of the issues we had faced and poor service experienced with gesture of good will. But I do not have faith that any action has been taken to improve things for future guests.

    “Smuk beliggenhed og imødekommende hotelpersonale”

    Et fantastisk hotel. Vi boede 5 personer i en 3 værelses villa med egen pool. Smuk beliggenhed ved bikini beach med snorkel- og dykkecenter lige nedenfor hotellet og en rolig bugt at bade i. Super imødekommende personale, specielt deres animation team gjorde opholdet super underholdende. De 4 alá carte restauranter var et dejligt alternativ til buffet restauranten. Det kræver taxi at komme ind til Santa Maria, men der er en fin lille strand promenade foran hotellet og Bikini Beach Club udover hotellets egne barer.

    Ants in the bathroom. Very basic, towels and sheets clean but stained and old. Restaurants were very poor, buffet had plenty choice but food was never hot.
