The hotel was amazing, no bad words about the service, room or staff. Everyone was wonderful, friendly and so welcoming.

My wife, son and I changed our booking to Ocean Coral Spring just three days before departure, after learning that our original hotel was undergoing infrastructure improvements. Although we had been assured that the work would not affect our stay, as we were travelling to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, we decided not to take the chance. Looking back, switching to Ocean Coral Spring proved to be a very good decision. Arrival & First Impressions Our anniversary was acknowledged from the outset, with a lovely anniversary cake waiting for us on arrival – a thoughtful touch that immediately made the occasion feel special. Ocean Coral Spring is a large, contemporary resort with a distinctly Caribbean character combined with a modern, maritime-inspired aesthetic. The architecture, open spaces, pools and landscaping create an attractive holiday environment. Although the resort is sizeable, its layout provides a good variety of areas depending on whether you want activity and entertainment or somewhere to simply relax. Accommodation & Housekeeping Our room was spacious and comfortable and was maintained to a good standard throughout our two-week stay. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, with our room kept clean, tidy and well presented. We would occasionally return to find decorative towel arrangements, which were a lovely personal touch and always a joy to come “home” to. The accommodation provided a comfortable base for our holiday, with the housekeeping team contributing considerably to the overall experience through their attention to detail and friendly service. Resort & Facilities Ocean Coral Spring is very much a celebratory resort. It has a lively, sociable atmosphere with plenty happening throughout the day, while still providing areas where you can relax away from the activities. The resort offers the range of facilities you would expect from a large Caribbean all-inclusive, including swimming pools, restaurants, bars, entertainment areas and easy access to organised excursions. The reception area forms a central hub and the team there were consistently friendly and helpful. Whether we needed assistance with restaurant reservations, the resort app, currency exchange or general information, our enquiries were handled efficiently and effectively. Restaurants & Dining There is a good selection of dining options around the resort, giving guests some variety during a longer stay. We found the restaurant teams hospitable and efficient. We were generally greeted warmly and seated quickly, and the service was attentive without feeling intrusive. One of the things we particularly appreciated was the personal interaction. Staff would regularly stop for a conversation, check that everything was satisfactory and ensure drinks were replenished. Those small touches made the dining experience feel more welcoming and less like the sometimes impersonal experience you can encounter at a large all-inclusive resort. Bars & Pool Areas The bars and pool areas became some of our favourite parts of the resort. Whether at the Sports Bar, reception bar or poolside, service was consistently friendly and professional. The pool bar in particular had a great atmosphere and provided first-class hospitality throughout our stay. What impressed us most was the consistency. We were at the resort for two weeks, and the level of service did not noticeably decline. Even when areas became busy, the teams worked hard to maintain a friendly and efficient service. The bartenders were knowledgeable, produced some excellent cocktails and were always willing to suggest something different. There was plenty of humour and conversation too, which created a relaxed atmosphere and made it very easy to settle into resort life. Entertainment & Activities If you prefer a resort with plenty going on, Ocean Coral Spring certainly delivers. From morning through to evening there is usually something happening, whether poolside activities, aqua aerobics, dancing, live entertainment or evening shows. You can participate as much or as little as you choose. The entertainment team deserves particular recognition for the energy they bring to the resort. Their enthusiasm, dancing, singing, hosting and interaction with guests contribute significantly to the atmosphere. Having stayed for two weeks, we came to appreciate just how much work goes into maintaining those energy levels day after day. The team remained enthusiastic and engaging throughout our stay and even helped make our final day particularly memorable with a lovely farewell gesture. Excursions There are also opportunities to arrange activities away from the hotel through excursion representatives based at the resort. We booked horse riding, ATV and swimming with dolphins experience and had a fabulous time. The representatives were friendly, knowledgeable and great fun to deal with. For anyone wanting to experience more of Jamaica beyond the resort, it is certainly worth exploring the excursion options available. Service & Hospitality This is where Ocean Coral Spring really excelled for us. Across reception, housekeeping, restaurants, bars, pool areas and entertainment, we encountered people who were warm, humorous and genuinely engaging. What stood out was the ability of staff to provide good service while still allowing their personalities to come through. There was plenty of conversation, laughter and banter during our stay, and after two weeks we had become familiar with many of the people working around the resort. That interaction made the hotel feel considerably more personal than its size might suggest. Our TUI representatives also provided excellent support throughout the holiday, assisting with excursions, lost property, advice and general enquiries. They were professional, approachable and always happy to help. Ocean Coral Spring provided us with a fabulous two-week holiday and a memorable setting in which to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The accommodation was comfortable and well maintained, the resort itself attractive and lively, and there was a good selection of restaurants, bars, activities and entertainment. For guests looking for an active Caribbean all-inclusive with plenty happening throughout the day, there is a lot to enjoy here. However, the strongest feature of Ocean Coral Spring is undoubtedly its people. Hotels can have impressive buildings, beautiful pools, restaurants, bars and entertainment, but ultimately it is the people working within them who determine how you remember your stay. The staff gave Ocean Coral Spring its personality. We arrived as guests, but through the conversations, laughter, banter and genuine hospitality we experienced over those two weeks, we left feeling that we had got to know some truly wonderful people. We would happily return to Ocean Coral Spring. The resort gave us the facilities and surroundings for a great holiday, while the warmth and hospitality of the Jamaican people made it a memorable one. For us, that is what makes Ocean Coral Spring somewhere worth returning to.

The hotel itself was very well kept, but the staff service was very poor for the entire trip, especially in the main buffet restaurant called Martha's Market. They could not cope at all when the restaurant was busy and more often than not, food that ran out was not replaced quick enough, leading to regular complaints. Room cleaning was ridiculous. We would go out at around 8am and not get back to our two rooms until around 3pm and, more often than not, the rooms and mini bars had not been done. On our last day, we were checked in until 12pm but one of our rooms (1230) was already being tidied for the next visitors when we returned from breakfast at 10am. By 11am, the staff had locked the adjourning room so we could not access it. We want the money back for that hour out of the room that we lost. Very poor service. All we got was a half hearted apology from the reception desk. Simply not good enough in our books. The Sports Bar was also an issue. You could go in there any time to play pool or watch sport, but the bar was not opened until 5pm. Absolute joke. Every hotel we have ever stayed in has had a 24 hour sports bar, so why the ********** was this one not opened until 5pm? Staff laziness? Absolute waste of a Sports Bar facility. Another bug bear was the blatant use of recreational and herbal 'cigarettes'. People were blatantly walking around the complex smoking marijuana and it went completely unchallenged. It was meant to be a family friendly hotel, for Christ's sake! I appreciate it is part of the culture but we did not want to smell that at all. The rep on site was not helpful from the end of our first meeting after we told her that we were not adventurous types to do any excursions. The excursions were all too expensive anyway. Why do you charge so much? From the end of that meeting, she made very litte contact with us for the entire two week holiday. Overall, we most definitely did not get value for money on this trip. In fact, it is THE WORST HOLIDAY we have ever taken. All that money paid for nothing. As far as H10 Hotels go, also THE WORST H10 we have ever stayed in. We've had better service in 4 star hotels. As for the flights, also very poor. Food on both flights was very little and not very nice to eat. The in flight entertainment system was faulty on both flights and the movie options were extremely limited as a result. We travelled with two disabled children who ultimately were bored and irritable on both flights because of this Overall, a horrible holiday and it has put us off from ever going to Jamaica again. It was that bad.

Positives Clean, spacious rooms Negatives: Issues with air conditioning in the room, all our clothes etc were damp in this room. When the floor was cleaned by staff it never dried until maybe the next day so was always wet because of the air conditioning issue Buffet food variety was disappointing and very limited. I would expect a lot more from a 5* hotel. None of the food is labeled for allergens or if vegetarian, we were told to ask the chefs at each station but very frequently they were covering another area and would tell you they didn’t know! Service varied massively- long wait times to get into the buffet and get a table. Once seated cutlery was often missing and you had to try and locate a member of staff to find cutlery, basics like tea and coffee ran out a lot and again you had to waste time trying to find staff to sort. Food at the buffet was often not there for example chips because no one had realised they had run out and so we’d wait a really long time to get food. Staff attitude can vary which was sad to see and was a common theme throughout the hotel. There must be something wrong with the air conditioning in the buffet as it was very hot all the time. Guests were walking around with fans on them in the buffet due to the heat. Drink choices were not great and drinks felt watered down with the crushed ice drink mixes they used. I’d expect a good variety of fresh fruit when visiting a Caribbean hotel but this hotel served tinned fruit for the most part with the only fresh fruits noted as watermelon and papaya. They often ran out of both so again another disappointment. There is a lack of chairs and tables in the boulevard area where the hotel does most of their entertainment in the evening. Really not worth what we paid for the trip to this hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
