First class hotel will definitely return

Excellent resort, highly recommended. What a great resort. There is something special about the Oya beach resort, and I highly recommend it. I’ve been lucky enough to return to this resort a number of times. Each time I’ve noticed new services on their continuous drive to further enhance guests experiences. We like it so much, that we have made a booking to return later in the year. Short review: Excellent hotel, clean modern, very good modern gym, lovely food and great attentive staff. Full review: - Rooms: Clean, modern, tasteful decorated and well thought out. - Gym: Great modern gym, clean with a good array of good quality equipment. - Food: As an all-inclusive you will never go hungry. The buffet has a great array of tasty food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarians have also got a good selection too. There is also a lovely Italian and Greek restaurant (bookings are needed at both). Plus there is a lovely snack bar if you want to eat lunch by the pool. The OYA beach resort have also recently opened “Meli Crêperie” which is an additional pool side food option offering very tasty crêpes waffles and ice cream. - Pools: There are 2 pools, both with a large number of sun lounges to choose from. The larger pool is more family friendly with music, plus it has water aerobics in the morning. The smaller pool is more for the adults, this is more quiet and chilled. So you have the best of both worlds. - Beach: If the beach/sea is more your thing, there is a small beach located across a quiet lane. The beach has sunbeds and of course lovely coastal views. It’s also offers a lovely sunset. - Hotel app: The hotel has an app which makes it easier to look up information and to make restaurant bookings. - The staff: The staff here are excellent. friendly, attentive, helpful, informative and are honestly such a happy bunch. On my first 3 visits, I was a solo traveler and the team at the Oya beach resort made me feel so welcome. Some of the staff members which really stood out are: Kostas - Each time I was met with a lovely friendly welcome from Kostas, as I got off my airport transfer. His calm friendly personality instantly put you at ease, he even helped me with my suitcase. I noticed Kostas ensured the smooth running of the lobby and was very attentive to all guests. We have small chats most days and he has given me great advice on what to do in the area. Diamanto - Diamanto is the excellent Guest Relations Manager. Every day she has greeted me with her warm smile and personality . She is so informative and is highly efficient at coordinating guests needs and enquiries. Elena - Elena who works at the front desk, always gives me a warm welcome. On my 1st return visit, she even remembered me from my previous visit. In fact the whole receptions team: Soultana, Maria, Elina, Marina and Elena are all so friendly, happy, helpful and attentive. They are so informative and their attention to detail, even whilst dealing with large groups is impressive. Nico - Young Nico is so approachable, friendly and attentive. He too is very informative of the local area, and is always asking if you are ok, or need anything. Rico - Rico always greets me in the mornings. He is excellent at servicing my room, is always smiling and is such a happy soul. Manuel - I met one of the hotel managers Manuel on my 1st visit. He was ensuring the smooth running of the customer experience when it first opened. He too was friendly, approachable and was thorough at ensuring everything was too a high standard. Demetrius - I also have had the pleasure of meeting the Hotel director Demetrius on a number of occasions. He too is friendly and you can see he takes real pride in his hotel. All in all, I’m so impressed with the hotel, staff and all the amenities. I highly recommend The OYA beach resort.

Hotel was lovely, not much on for the children though

Although Oya Beach hotel, Crete was recently opened after refurbishment it was comfortable & clean. At the moment they are under staffed as still recruiting but the staff already there worked very hard & were so lovely & friendly, they couldn’t do enough for everyone.

Was like being on building site nothing to do food cold only toilet was in side so had to goup trom pool ifbu needed toilet no locks on thempool was freezing so no swimming rooms was not for three days only one lift worked so had to spend money eating out and going out for a drink what we where noft happy as wasnt any entertainment untill last night and so was very poor entertainment wrongly advertised
