The buffet was awful, food not labelled properly, kids allowed to run riot, all the food tasted the same. All the à la carte restaurants were closed. The children’s restaurant was just food from the buffet. The boardwalk at the beach was broken and uneven in places, my 2 year old grandson cut his toes tripping on it. The room was nice and the pools lovely. TUI could have told us the fun fair was for over 3’s but didn’t so that was sad for the little one.

We loved the holiday, however the big downfall was the main food restaurant. There was a great range of food selection but everything was luke warm or cold, even the plate warmers were not switched on. We found the chafing platters were not heated and even the ones with a temperature gauge were set to sub ambient temperatures. This meant for us we had a limited choice of food to choose from, so were very disappointed. The hottest food we ate was at the pool bar were the pizzas were fresh out the oven. The other gripe was the banging loud music playing throughout the day around the pool and pool bar which was always the same genre all the time.

Our holiday was booked through TUI, and unfortunately our experience fell far below the standard we expected from a five-star hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were disappointed. During check-in, the staff appeared unhappy, unwelcoming and came across as rude, leaving us with a poor first impression of the hotel. Throughout our stay there was a strong smell of drains/sewage whenever we walked towards the pool area. The smell was so overpowering that it made our three-year-old son physically sick. In addition, the showers by the pool smelled strongly of urine, raising concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. As I do not drink alcohol, I relied on the soft drinks provided as part of the all-inclusive package. Unfortunately, every soft drink I tried was flat, making them unpleasant to drink. We also experienced a serious food quality concern when chicken kebab served at the outdoor buffet appeared to be undercooked and almost raw. This was unacceptable and raised concerns about food safety. Customer service around the hotel was consistently disappointing. At both the bar and the children’s ride, we repeatedly experienced what appeared to be unfair queuing, where women with children were regularly served before men with children regardless of who had been waiting longer. This resulted in unnecessary delays and frustration, and left us feeling that we were not being treated fairly. While I was in the swimming pool with my three-year-old son, our belongings were removed from our sunbed and placed on the floor without our permission, despite us still actively using the area. We found this upsetting and unnecessary. The water slides were also disappointing because they could only be used with inflatable rings supplied by the hotel. Despite waiting between 20 and 30 minutes on several occasions, no rings became available, meaning we were effectively unable to use one of the hotel’s advertised facilities. The cleanliness of our room was also below the standard expected of a five-star hotel. There was sticky residue on the bedroom floor, and we found old playing cards underneath the bed, indicating that the room had not been cleaned thoroughly before our arrival. One of the most concerning incidents involved a children’s ride. While my partner and our three-year-old son were on the ride, it developed a fault and began making unusual noises. Despite this, the operator initially wanted to send them on the ride again. We found this extremely concerning from a health and safety perspective. Taken individually, some of these issues may have been disappointing. However, together they resulted in a holiday that fell significantly below the standard we had paid for and expected. We chose the Royal Seginus because of its reputation as a five-star family hotel, but unfortunately our experience did not reflect this. On the other hand there’s praised to 2 members of staff who actually made us get through our holiday witch was 1 particular life guard and one waiter on roller skates they really are happy people and definitely deserve the appreciation
