    We have been to the Salobre , Gran Canaria a few times and back when it was a Sheraton, before and after Covid. The staff are great, the rooms are spacious and views can be good depending on which room you are allocated. It is primarily a golfing hotel but there is a cross section of guests. Children are few as its not that suited to children really. The Sunset pool area is the hightlight. Food is of good overall quality, themed and plentiful. We had half board. The hotel still maintains a good standard and whilst I would not rate it 5 star it certainly is a 4 star. Its lost some of its exclusivity now its not a Sheratom hotel and those little differences in service polish are noticeable if you experienced the hotel previous to 2018. That said its always a pleasure to spend time there. There is entertainment in the evenings at one of the bars but overall choice of bars during that time is limityed to one. It is very quiet in thge evenings here. They provide a free shuttle bus to Melonaras during the day which is very useful but the Shgeraton beach villa from the previous days is now gone. There isa Spar shop within easy walking distance for thos odditities you may want. My useually beef about readily available drinking water is true of this hotel as it is on other Canary Islands. The bottles sold here are 3.5 euros each so its a cost that can add up. The tap water is safe to drink some saying though that is has a taste to it as its provided through de-salination of sea water. I found it perfectly acceptabe and I did boil it and once cooled bottle it. There isa complimentary botttle of water supplied to your room everyday left in the mini fridge so thats a nice touch from the hotel. I think water stations placed stregically around the site would be a really nice service to what is a good hotel, ittle things like that make all the difference. Bed linen and towels etc all very good quality, the bath robes could be a little larger but its a nice touch again. Rooms cleaned daily and done well, towels changed frequently too.
