Simantro resort is in a beautiful location. The estate itself has great potential. However, it appears that it has been allowed to fall into disrepair. Most of it is dated, not maintained, or not cleaned to an acceptable standard. Staff: There appears to be not enough staff, and those who work there do long shifts. Most were friendly, but some looked annoyed, and were impolite. The room: the safe had no key. The tv only showed the resorts adverts. House keeping only replaced the towels and emptied the one bin provided. We were there for 10 days and the bedding has not been changed. We woke up with bites - assuming bedbugs. Food and drink: we had half board. I was disappointed that drinks were included only at breakfast. Not even water! There was very limited vegetarian option. The buffet was repetitive. The beach bars were great but expensive. With the additional cost of food and drinks on top of the half board, this became not good value for money! Facilities: there were not enough toilets. There was no late check out option, nor a changing facility. The beach was littered - of course this is mostly on the guests. The pool area was uneven and a trip hazard in places. The spa only offers massages. Cash was expected for certain things but there was no ATM. There was also no way of charging things to the room. The resort is in a remote location on the edge of a pine forest. Beautiful! But there was no shuttle, felt very isolated. The desk arranged for us a hire car for a couple of days - that was fine, but we couldn't park it in the hotel carpark - it was full at the end of the day. Overall I would not rate this resort a 5*. It was not value for money and I would not recommend. If I visited Halkidiki again I would rather stay at Sami Resort. Very disappointed but we made the most of it - cost a lot more than expected for the standard received. I would recommend re-evaluating the rating as I feel I was misled.

Reihe bekommen!!!
