The hotel is spotless, cleaning staff work very hard. The food was good, lots of choice, not always warm enough but we used the microwave to heat it

We thought the hotel was family friendly, but it really seemed oriented at kids with not a lot for the adults to do.

The hotel and resort is amazing for all ages. The only thing lacking is the evening entertainment, very poor.

Definitely family oriented great for kids , missed not having a friendly cozy type adult bar .

I alway take a few days to get use to a hotel. But I felt comfortable straight away at the Katmandu. The reception staff, the cleaning staff, lifequards and the more mature lady at the bar (sorry forgot her name) were lovely and very friendly. Most were ok. Some not so much. But better than most hotels weve been in. There are cleaners around all the time, and cleaned our room every day. There is a token system on the drinks. You get a token per person , when you get a drink you give the token to the barstaff. You just taking your empties to bar and get a new drink. When you've finished, you take your empties to the bar for your tokens. Its a good system, aimed to saving waste plastic. And no beakers are left on unoccupied tables. Only draw back is trying to get your token back, as you have to stand in the queue for the bar and some of the beakers had a funny burning smell in them. It would have been nice to have the drinks in a glass at night, especially the cocktails. Not quite the same in plastic beaker. We were in a standard room with balcony (worth upgrading to a room with a balcony for a little extra space). As the room are quite small, especially if you had a 3rd person in it. They are basic, but clean. Ours came with a good shower, in a bath. There is free safe in room. There are tea an coffee facilities in the room but they, in our experience dont get refilled after the 1st day. But there is a fridge if you want to buy milk and water and bring your own tea and coffee. Abit noisy in the day, but it is designed for kids, but no more than other hotels weve been in. Its the most kid orientated hotel weve every stopped in, the majority of the activities and artists on at night are aimed at them. We went as a couple with no kids, but still enjoyed the hotel. We went in September, so it was probably alot quieter than the 6 weeks holiday. I can imagine that to be manic. Because we went in September, we had no problems with excessive queuing or finding a sunbed. Katmandu Park is included in the all inclusive package, and is well worth a visit (even if you are adults, but kids at heart). Its not very big and wont take you long to do it unless you pay for the splash park or golf. I thought the food was lovely if you are willing to try different things. Alot of fish options too. But my husband (a fussy eater) struggled sometimes. The thing that let it down was most the time it's was cold or barely warm. One note to management, put some cold milk near the teabags, so you dont have to walk half the restaurant for milk (near the cereal, if you need it, or there hot milk in the coffee machine). The hotel is in a good location, not too far to walk to most bars and restaurants. I would definitely go back if we had kids.
