    Not much variety with the food . Mostly the same everyday. Hotel staff were spot on . Always asking what they could get you . Rooms were kept spotless . Not much entertainment . I honestly can say the only let down was the lack of choice for food . The hotel is so chilled and the staff make it that way .

    I arrived at Sunset at the Palms with high hopes. The social media photos promised a premium Caribbean escape: lush gardens, tranquillity, luxury, and the kind of relaxation that makes you question why you ever bothered having a job. The reality started with the journey from the airport — roughly two hours of Jamaican roads that occasionally felt less like a transfer and more like an audition for a rally driving experience. Beautiful scenery, yes. Comfortable and reassuring? Not always. The rooms look like they haven’t changed much since the resort first opened — which is charming if you’re going for “classic Caribbean nostalgia”, less so if you were expecting premium luxury. Furniture is tired, storage is limited, and the so-called “walk-in wardrobe” is actually a small area in the bathroom that seems to have wandered into the wrong room. The resort grounds are beautiful during the day, but at night things become a bit more adventurous. Lighting is limited, and uneven pathways turn a relaxing evening stroll into an unexpected obstacle course. Probably not ideal after a few cocktails. Food was, unfortunately, the biggest disappointment. The choice was limited, repetitive, and not what I would expect from a resort positioning itself at the premium end. The highlight was breakfast — specifically the freshly cooked omelette from the lovely lady making them. She deserves a special mention for being the daily hero keeping guests going. The “mini bar” deserves special mention. Calling it a bar is ambitious. It was essentially a small fridge containing a couple of bottles of Coke, water, and two beers. A “mini fridge with aspirations” would probably be more accurate. Sunset at the Palms has genuine strengths: beautiful surroundings, a great beach, and some excellent staff. But at the price point it positions itself at, the competition from other premium all-inclusive resorts is strong — and this resort simply falls short in too many areas Overall: beautiful location, lovely people, but the luxury experience promised online didn’t quite arrive with me.

    The staff were incredible. So attentive, happy and friendly, each one just acted like they loved their job and it was completly true!! We loved it it was like being in the Jamaican jungle !
