Our first impression of the hotel was marred because, having arrived off an early flight we arrived at the hotel to leave our bags and then go out for a few hours, expecting to be able to access our room from 3pm. Having landed at 9am we didn’t actually get access to our room until nearly 5pm, after sitting in the reception from about 3:15pm, and even then only because I asked if our room was ready, even though the staff could see us sitting there and knew that we were waiting for our room. What I was unaware of was the different style of plugs, which meant that even with the travel adapters we had we were unable to plug in our phone chargers. Needs to be clearer on TUI literature. The hotel did loan us a couple of adapters which helped. The hotel was listed as 4* but the accommodation was basic in the extreme. There were no tea/coffee making facilities provided in the room, the shower/tiles had black mould in places and there was no consistency over 14 nights as to when and what towels would be replaced and rather than leave a hand towel by the sink where we’d left it, we would find it in the end of the bed or on a seat in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and staff were efficient but basic facilities that these days one expects as normal were lacking. Quality of food was ok in general but options were limited. My wife who doesn’t like pig related products struggled to find much to eat. Breakfast was generally continental with hot options being scrambled egg and bacon - every day, which much as I like egg and bacon it became very boring. Coffee, or tea, was only available from a barista which meant long queues to get a drink at breakfast. Evening meals were served and with very little choice, a bit like school meals. I know we were in Italy, but the main choice of dishes were pasta, generally seafood related, and having stayed in may different parts of Italy, even I found the meals repetitive and unappealing on occasions. Dessert, my wife’s favourite part of a meal, was limited to one or occasionally two options, with sliced melon or pineapple (so thin you could almost see through it) as an added “bonus”. A complimentary bottle of wine was given with dinner along with a bottle of tap water, which whilst a nice touch, did nothing for my wife who doesn’t drink wine, and no alternative was offered. Having stayed in other 4* hotels and resorts, we came away from this one disappointed and felt that a holiday, which we otherwise enjoyed, was let down by the accommodation. It is somewhere that we would not return to and would not recommend to other holiday makers. It may well be that Puglia is still only catering for domestic travellers, which may explain the lack of variety in food options and the barista coffee facilities. What ever the reason this was not something we had experienced in Tuscany, Umbria, Rome, Sorento or Sicily.

Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr von sich eingenommen und für deutsche Urlauber ungeeignet, da auch Englisch teileweise schwer war mit ihnen zu sprechen. Die Zimmer sind sehr heruntergekommenen und haben viele Schimmelflecken an der Wand. Die Reinigung ist auch nicht ordentlich. Leider ist auch das Buffet sehr einfallslos, beim Frühstück immer das Gleiche und Abends erinnert es eher an eine Kantine.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und in einer ruhigen Lage. Das Service Personal war super freundlich, einziges Manko war das es kein Deutschsprachiges Personal gab, wäre für Leute die nicht gut englisch sprechen viel einfacher. WLAN war nur im Bereich der Rezeption gut.
