    Rooms were not cleaned regularly. Teas not replenished showers not cleaned. Hotels need attention but still a great hotel and will return

    The accommodation was ok. The beds were large and comfy. The rooms are a little dated. We didn't like that the balconies don't lock - initially I was travelling alone with my daughter and this made us feel a little vulnerable. It was also not ideal that the bathroom didn't look. Having access to a free safe was much appreciated. Everyone in the entertainment team were great, friendly without being overly demanding. If we wanted to join the activities we could but there was no demand to. The reps were helpful and informative. It was great to see so many Tui reps at the hotel. The front desk/Reception team were a little unfriendly, not all staff - infact a couple were really helpful, but in the main, the initial communication with the reception team was never that warm/friendly and could definitely be improved given that they are the front desk! It was great to have enough sun beds and we enjoyed the peacefulness of the pool area. I do think that the lifeguards need to more focused on their job, but maybe the expectations of the role are different in Tenerife. The food was delicious and the chefs and serving staff worked hard. We found the dining room quite fraught, the managers/older staff members seemed to spend a lot of time 'bossing' the younger staff around - sometimes they were evidently cross and telling them off - this didn't make for a relaxing meal environment at times and rarely seemed necessary as everyone worked very hard in the dining area. For the last 2/3 days of our visit there was a manager (possibly area) who seemed to be overseeing the restaurant and it was noticeably calmer on those days. We were really disappointed not to be offered water with our evening meal and when we asked for 'tap water' we were very discouraged from having it and it was clear that staff were irritated when we insisted on tap water and not (paid) bottle water. Water is a basic commodity and it should have been available at dinner time - as it was at breakfast. This attitude was very off putting. The evening entertainment was very good quality but we were significantly impacted by it being held in the inside bar (until the last evening) as it was too hot to enjoy. It was disappointing to hear that this was a staffing issue (not enough staff). Most evenings the entertainers were performing to an empty room as no one could bare the heat. Such a waste as they were great performers and we would have enjoyed dancing with and watching them. Overall, the holiday was good - the food and Tui entertainment team and reps were a highlight. Support before the holiday (accessibility was fantastic). Flights and the airport experiences were very smooth both ends. The hotel was a very friendly and relaxed environment in the main. The setting is beautiful and we would definitely return.
