The booking experience was straight forward, we went in to high street rather than online as we wanted to check if all the resort was open as it was a late October booking 18th- 28th. The TUI rep checked the details and confirmed the resort was still fully open and also the area surrounding was still open till the 31st October. The unsatisfactory and disappointment part was that on arrival and a few days into the holiday areas of the resort were closed- snack bar by the pool closed, the afternoon snack were supposed to be served and snack restaurant open from 2pm -4pm, this was closed. Meaning no ice creams or waffles etc. for the kids. Cakes were limited. As the week went on the coffee restaurant closed, meaning no coffee over the counter - no milkshakes. You had to go to alternative parts of the resort to find a different bar that served the drinks etc. tthis took you away from the pool and beach areas. The bedding arrangements were also unsatisfactory as we had booked and paid for a family of four two adults two children, the sleeping arrangements only accommodated two adults and one shared bed for the two children, there wasn't enough bedding to facilitate separating the beds etc. and inadequate blankets and sheets- they felt rough and scratchy on you skin it was more like a throw than official bedding sheets etc. There was no teas and coffees in our room and not enough cups for us if we had wanted a hot drink. Accommodation was basic and didn't meet the requirements of two adults and two children of different ********** as sold to us by the TUI rep in the high street branch. The bath and shower facilities in the room were just about functional too basic definitely not on par with the 4/5 star hotel. There was tiled corridor and all the tiles had lifted and broken which became worse during our stay. The early closing of various bars and snack bars created a disjointed unfunctional element to the flow of the holiday and cut our holiday experience early as we were made to feel the resort was closing and getting ready to shut down for end of season and we were an inconvenience that they could do that. Being ushered into other areas of the resort as bars closed and certain food no longer being cooked. Changed the relaxed feel we were having in the first few days to feeling like to being hurried and rushed. The food choices became less varied. The early part of the stay there was plenty of choice and everything looked freshly cooked as the week went on food was being recycled and looked dry, the cake choices became less. Even the pizza / pitta restaurant closed early which left little choices for the children. There was an Al acart restaurant but no idea how to book or reserve a table as no staff seem to know about it - presumably this was also shut. It was described and sold to us as 7 pools and seven bars, with two snack bars a pizza restaurant and coffee restaurant, however two pools were shut and two snack bars were shut the coffee restaurant closed at random times and the pizza restaurant shut early. Leaving only one main restaurant. Not as advertised. This was Turunc Hotel Marmaris

The staff were very attentive and made sure we had drinks anytime we went for meals and they all loved our granddaughter giving her high 5s and remembering her name which was lovely and made her feel special on her first holiday abroad.

Accommodation was excellent. I would say probably is a little bit tired and probably could do with a little bit of updating but overall it was a good experience and we really enjoyed it.
